Assessment of Historical M&A Deals: To establish a baseline for inorganic growth,
we aggregated and analyzed the M&A transactions in large volume wearable injectors domain over
the last 15 years. This data was gathered based on information available in the public domain,
particularly companies' websites, press releases and other reliable secondary sources.
Extensive Developer Assessment: As a next step, we analyzed several players that are
currently active in this domain across different parameters, including years of experience, company
size, number of devices, status of development, container volume (mL), type of device, type of dose,
usability, mode of drug filling, availability of connectivity feature, availability of continuous
glucose monitoring / blood glucose meter system, availability of automatic insulin delivery / artificial
pancreases, availability of interoperable device, waterproof capabilities, type of diabetes and period
of use (days).
Proprietary Scoring and Likelihood Modeling: By considering the current and
historical trends across the aforementioned parameters, we assigned an attractiveness score to the
developers of large volume wearable injectors. These scores quantified the "acquisition likelihood"
for every player, enabling an objective, data-driven ranking of potential targets based on their
strategic attractiveness.
Strategic Due Diligence and Target Selection: By leveraging our scoring matrix, we
shortlisted five high-conviction targets that perfectly aligned with the client's portfolio objectives.
For these priority candidates, we conducted rigorous due diligence covering financial health, IP status
and operational risks to form a defensible investment thesis for executive decision-making.
