Let’s Talk
The Challenge

Identifying Strategic Bispecific Antibody Partnerships for a Biologics Contract Manufacturer

Fragmented Partnership
Intelligence

Despite delivering high-value, demand-intensive manufacturing capabilities for bispecific antibodies, the client failed to build long term partnerships, resulting in missed opportunities and inefficient business development

Geographic Market
Assessment Gaps

Due to limited visibility into early-stage bispecific antibody candidates and their potential launch timelines, the client failed to recognize drug developers that should be pursued for building win-win partnerships

Inability to Predict Partner
Suitability

Lack of a systemic framework to analyze potential partners prevented the client’s ability to strategize effective outbound business development efforts, tailoring engagement strategies for a successful partnership

The Roots Way

How Roots Helped?

Roots Analysis deployed a proven partner identification methodology to systematically evaluate bispecific antibody developers and identify optimal partnership candidates for the client.
Portfolio and Developer Landscaping: To identify potential partnership candidates, we collated detailed information on the various bispecific antibody assets that are currently being developed across different stages. For each drug, we gathered information across different parameters, such as target therapeutic area and stage of development. In addition, we also looked at the respective drug developers and collected information on key parameters, including year of establishment, company size, number of drugs in the pipeline and availability of in-house manufacturing capability.
Proprietary Scoring and Composite Evaluation: We applied our proprietary scoring criteria to assign partnership likelihood scores to each developer. This established an evidence-based framework for evaluating outsourcing probability and enabling standardized comparative partner qualifications.
Geographic Segmentation: We distributed the partnership opportunities across three distinct peer groups based on the location of headquarters of drug developers (North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific and rest of the world). This enabled the client to identify high-potential partners within each region and deploy region-specific engagement strategies. For each peer group, we identified developers most likely to outsource manufacturing and packaging requirements, recommending them as optimal partnership candidates.
This methodical approach enabled the client to identify and prioritize bispecific antibody developers that have assets in later stage of development and are most receptive to outsourced manufacturing partnerships. This eventually allowed our client to pursue targeted business development efforts and sign long-term drug manufacturing agreements.
